the day that was…

i was particularly amazed at the young boy who played ‘gloria in excelsis deo’ in violin just before the mass started. apparently, today is the first day of simbang gabi (the 9 pm simbang gabi) and i was very eager to attend because im hoping to attend all the 9 nights of simbang gabi.

at the middle of the mass, i remember something, the first and last thing that happened to me today has something to do with violins. The only thing that i remember from my dream this morning is that i was about to go to a recital of someone i know who can play the violin, then i woke up. and tonight as i was waiting for my mom and my sister in the church, a little boy was playing a violin… how bizarre..

oh wait… let’s rewind first to what really happened before the violin thing..

anyway, i went to school today to watch the lantern parade. no one told me that it was cancelled so by the time i arrived at school, i was surprised that there where only a few people at quezon hall. my college (ncpag) still pushed through with the parade. it was fun since it was my first time to really join the parade. last year, i was one of the audience watching and admiring the lanterns not actually one of those who walked around to showcase their colleges’ masterpiece. anyway, i get to bond with people again. we have a marching band with us as we walked around the streets of the university. the band played ‘boom tarat tarat’ (i only know the chorus!), ‘totoy bibo’ (i know the title but i don’t know the lyrics), and a whole lot more. but out of the different songs that they played, my favorite was ’sumayaw sumunod’. we cheered, sang, and laugh our hearts out at every little cheer that we invented. it was also fun watching the giant mascots dancing behind us. we went to our college after and we held a little program. it was also fun especially when i rushed up at the stage with jhe’s huge stuffed dog keychain in my hand because it was asked in the game of ‘bring me’ (i actually won because it’s the biggest). the program finished at around 8:30 pm, i went to the church for the mass and that’s where i saw the young boy playing the violin.

we went home, saw my little cousins who are staying for the weekend. had a little fun with them while we stare at the glow-in-the-dark stars in the ceiling of my bedroom. and now, as they slept, im here in front of the computer as always..

just hope i can complete the nine masses just like what i did for two consecutive years! (^_^)

cheers!

Fools in love they think they’re heroes
‘Cause they get to feel no pain
I say fools in love are zeros
I should know, I should know
Because this fool’s in love again
